The guide will also give you many practical tips for your holiday in Piedmont.
The old town of Alba impresses with its beautiful medieval Renaissance and Art Nouveau buildings. The cosy atmosphere of the low-traffic town centre invites you to stroll around and linger in one of the countless cafés and bars. Not to be missed: Il mercato – every Saturday morning (from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) explore the typical Italian market, which takes place in the central square and in the alleyways and offers a unique view of Italian life. It is divided into the farmers’ market, vegetable market, organic market and, of course, fashion and all sorts of sundries. Alba is also internationally renowned for its coveted and precious white truffles. The famous truffle fair, which takes place every autumn, attracts people from all over the world.
Afterwards, you can enjoy an aperitif and take in the colourful hustle and bustle of the town.
