Description
Turin, the capital of Piedmont, was the first capital of Italy and also the royal city of the Savoy dynasty.
14 castles in and around Turin still bear witness to this stately past. Today, Turin is an elegant residential city with 18 km of arcades, historic palazzi and majestic squares and posh coffee houses. The Porta Palazzo market is the largest weekly market in Europe – here you can feel like you’re in the Orient ;-)
The Egyptian Museum houses the second largest collection after Cairo, the Automobile Museum is one of the best museums in Europe, the largest book fair in Europe is held annually and every two years gourmets from all over the world are attracted to the Salone del Gusto. In 1997, the residences of the Royal House of Savoy were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Get to know and love the imposing city on a 3-hour tour of the old town.
Afterwards, you can enjoy an aperitif or biccerin and take in the colourful hustle and bustle of the city.
